About Bear Hill Bookkeeping

Bear Hill Bookkeeping is the professional bookkeeping company of Jesse Blades. 

Jesse has over 18 years in the accounting field as a professional bookkeeper including time spent supervising a team of bookkeepers for a national public accounting firm, an accounting department manager of a grocery store and a bookkeeping instructor at the local college level. In 2014 Jesse was certified as a professional bookkeeper with the Institute of Professional Bookkeepers of Canada and has been advanced certified on Intuit’s accounting platform QuickBooks Online, since 2017. 

Over the course of his professional bookkeeping career, Jesse became interested in the unique and exciting niche of NFPO and Charity accounting. In 2019 Bear Hill Bookkeeping was refocused to specifically serve the NFPO and Charity niche. In 2021 Jesse completed CPA Canada’s Not-for-profit Certificate Program and continues to upgrade his skills and expertise each year. Bear Hill Bookkeeping is proud to serve NFPO’s and Charities and support the amazing work of this important and essential sector. 

Outside of work Jesse is a passionate trail runner and explorer of the backcountry of Vancouver Island which he loves to share with his wife Arianne and their two children.
